OLD BUSINESS

Greg Neill would like to have a representative come and speak about Records Retention. That would include shredding, microfilming records from the fire bureau, treasurer papers, etc.

NEW BUSINESS

Jean Zimmerman asked about the status of the Audit. Robert Zimmerman and Jenifer Sill both said they have been in touch with Dave, accountant. Dave wanted to have the Audit to us by the end of August but discovered some missing items. It is now on his desk for review. We are trying to avoid working on the Audit and the 2024 Budget at the same time. Bob Sweeten said the Engine Committee will be meeting Tuesday night to discuss replacing the Quint for a mini pumper. While at the Firemen’s Convention in Wildwood, there was a mini pumper that several members liked. The cost would be approximately $350,000 – 400,000. A lengthy discussion was held regarding the pros and cons of purchasing a Quint or mini pumper. Robert Zimmerman was against the mini pumper at this late date of the year and wants to proceed with the Quint.
