Our purpose
Mission statement
The primary mission of the fire commission of fire district #2 is to protect lives and property of the citizens of Rio Grande, Burleigh, and Whitesboro, in Cape May County, New Jersey, from the effects of fire, accidents and man made and natural disasters.
In doing this, we must provide quality firefighting and rescue equipment, trained and knowledgeable firefighters and fire officers. We will continuously strive to learn new techniques to improve the quality of life for the citizens of the communities we serve.

When
The meetings for the fire commissioners of Middle Township Fire District #2 are held on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm.
Where
The meetings take place in the meeting room of the Rio Grande Volunteer Fire House 1120 Route 47 South, Rio Grande, New Jersey 08242.
